STOP AWARENESS CENTER RETRO-SHAME

Rabbi Blau practically asked for this website, Blaufacts, by getting involved with the Awareness Center. Indeed, I actually took a substantial amount ot time today and reviewed The Awareness Center website and, I must say, this is an awful site.

Case in Point: Rav Shlomo Aviner Shlita.

The site found one article about Rabbi Aviner, about one accusation from one women, which was never substantiated. With this one article, the site then compiles a complete profile of Rabbi Aviner with his picture and other articles which have nothing to do with any allegation of sexual misconduct. For example, they include an article about his book on HaRav Kook and an Article about the "Women of the Wall." This Article about the "Women of the Wall," which has nothing to do with sexual misconduct, does not even mention Rabbi Aviner's name (I can only surmise that this article was included because it recites certain negative acts by members of the Charedei community).

However, one now sees Rabbi Aviner's name and picture on this site, a site which states that it is "dedicated to addressing sexual violence, with numerous articles (most of which have nothing to do with any allegation of sexual misconduct against Rabbi Aviner) and a casual peruser of the site is led to believe that there is an entire file of misconduct on Rabbi Aviner.

This must stop !
