THE REAL REASON WHY RABBI BLAU DROPPED OFF THE FACE OF THE AWARENESS CENTER

You should know that Blau was supportive of a case involving some Maryland minors. The basic facts are that kids accused other kids, then accused their parents and the whole thing turned into a massive investigation. Anyway, Blau has been supportive of the accusers (currently the defendants in a multimillion dollar lawsuit) saying that "police always miss things" etc etc. Blau actually made phone calls on the behalf of the accusers to schools, camps and shuls in several states warning the rabbis about the "accused" (and totally exonerated) family of predators. It was his effort to protect them. As a direct result of Blau's involvement- these kids were excluded from camps and schools and the same hysteria that ensued in a Maryland community ensued in another community.

Well, the theory is that Richard Joel, the President of Yeshiva University (Blau's boss) was clued in to Blau and his involvement and the claims on the Awareness Center that he was instrumental in breaking the Lanner Case. You can't have more facts about the Lanner case than Richard Joel.

If Joel spoke to Blau about this, as well as the negative press in the Jewish Press, that may have led to this.
