OUR PRE-DESTRUCTION EXERCISE
One more tragedy to cry about this Tisha B'Av.
Soldiers are pouring into Gush Katif in full battle gear... I'm glad Sharon has clarified to the IDF who the enemy is.
Last night my kids and I stood at an intersection (Tzomet Kessem) with flags and signs (dressed in orange). We had no intention of blocking traffic - and the police took no chances, so they had 27 policemen and SEVEN squad car/vans watching us.
When we left, we thanked each policeman personally for helping keep the intersection safe for us to demonstrate. The cops asked my kids in a friendly kind of way, what there names were, and where they were from. My kids refused to tell the cops their names or where they live - instead they said - "We refuse to identify ourselves - and we are underage - you have no authority to arrest us." This totally freaked out the cops. They said, how do you know? My kids replied that all their friends (and them) have detailed instructions how to act upon arrest.
When pushed for an answer what their names were, they replied - "Shachar Ayalon." That's the name of the Mefaked Machoz (regional commander) who told policemen at the destruction of one of the Shomron settlement outposts, that all cops should (illegally) remove their name tags, and when asked to identify themselves, to all say "Shachar Ayalon".
The honks at us were 10:1 of Gusk Kaitf supporters to those who cursed at us. The majority of the people who cursed at us were Arabs, or Jews with the blue "Pro-Expulsion" ribbons on their car.
Like I said - the predominant color of the day is orange.
